The Chamber approves the Fiscal Decree
Zeta Italy News. With 151 votes in favor, 111 against, and 4 abstentions the Fiscal Decree was approved by the Italian Chamber. Key measures include funds for the universal civil service, tax relief for small businesses, and a revised 2xmille (Italian tax contribution to political parties and cultural institutions) allocation cap of 30 million euros. It assigns 4.7 billion for the Transition 4.0 tax credit, to incentivise technological and digital transformation of businesses.
Contestation by the Judicial Council for the new Flussi Decree
The Flussi Decree is law. It defines the “safe countries” for the deportation of migrants, such as Bangladesh, Morocco and Egypt. It also classifies border control contracts as confidential and transfers responsibility for approving asylum seekers’ detention to Appeal Courts. The Judicial Court harshly criticized the decree, which is going to lengthen the duration of court rulings.
