Body of missing girl recovered in a ravine

Zeta Italy News: Ilaria Sula, a 22-year-old student unseen since March 25, was found dead in a cliff near Poli, inside a large suitcase. Her 23-year-old ex-boyfriend is in custody, accused of stabbing her in an apartment before disposing of the body in a wooded ravine. Investigators linked him to the crime through phone records showing he used the girl’s device after her disappearance. Police continue to search for evidence in her Rome apartment.

The tariffs imposed by Trump will be announced on April 2 at 10PM (Italian time), and are feared to impact Italian exports. Their application will be immediate, but it is still unclear whether Trump intends to attack Italy with tariffs and in which measure.

Major raid in Milan against street robberies

Worker dies in factory, found trapped under machine 

A fire broke out in an extrusion company in Trevenzuolo (Veneto). Firefighters discovered a victim beneath a machine; the factory worker likely got stuck. Emergency teams from the medical service, firefighters, and carabinieri intervened, but the man could not be saved. 

37-year-old killed, surveillance footage leads to arrest

A 28-year-old local man has been arrested after a man was shot dead in the chest on March 23rd in Nettuno, in the province of Rome, near a housing complex. Investigators suspect a drug debt as the motive. Key to the investigation of the 37-year-old are footage showing the suspect arriving and fleeing the scene after the shooting.

Twentieth anniversary of Pope Wojtyla’s death commemorated

Premier Giorgia Meloni attends the celebrations at St. Peter’s Basilica on April 2 to mark the 20 years from Pontiff John Paul II’s passing. He was the first non-Italian pope in 455 years and was considered a “Roman by adoption” for his close bond with the faithful. Committed to tackling national issues, including the fight against the mafia, he survived an assassination attempt in Rome in 1981.

UK introduces ETA requirement for travellers

As of April 2, European citizens, including Italians, must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before traveling to the United Kingdom for tourism or non-work-related visits. It allows multiple entries over two years but limits stays to six months. Approval typically takes a few hours; if denied, a full visa is required. The EU will introduce a similar system (ETIAS) for UK citizens this summer.

“Beyond Words”: autistic models take the runway

Coppa Italia: Bologna triumphs
