Three individuals have been arrested following the hooligan assault on the bus of Pistoia fans. Those arrested have alleged links to far-right movements. The devastating attack which caused the death of one of the bus drivers is being investigated as a voluntary manslaughter.

2️⃣ European Parliament to debate the attack on Ranucci
Following the attack on Rai investigative Journalist Sigfrido Ranucci, the members of the European parliament will debate with council and commission representatives, the prevalence of criminal intimidation of journalists in the EU. A bomb was exploded under his and his daughters car in Rome.

3️⃣ Tajani and fellow Forza Italia members opposing property tax bill
Antonio Tajani says that he and his party fellows will not vote for the taxes on properties. According to Tajani, they will do everything to change the test that contains the tax changes. He compares the house properties to cryptocurrencies, questioning why the two different belongings should be treated differently.

4️⃣ Man in Macerata accused of sexual abuse of a minor girl
31-year-old man accused in Macerata of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl, appeal trial ongoing in Ancona. At the time of the abuse the man was 25 years old. According to the testimony of the girl the abuse found place outside in a secluded area and the man used violence to control and abuse the girl.

5️⃣ Business woman dies after plastic surgery in Turkey
Milena Mancini, a 50 year old Italian real estate entrepreneur has died after 20 days in intensive care in Istanbul University hospital after a botched liposuction procedure. According to reports which have yet to be medically confirmed, she sustained an unexpected stomach injury during the surgery.

6️⃣ Reduction in age for obtaining driver licence B
Possible to obtain the driver licence B already at the age of 17, as new rules of the EU come into force. The goal is to increase safety and reduce the victims in accidents.

7️⃣ Birthrate drops to all time low
The National Statistics Agency has said that the birth rate fell to a new low in 2024 with a rate of 1.18 children per woman. The provisional estimated rate for 2025 is 1.13 births per woman. For Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, increasing the birth rate is an “absolute priority.”

In 2050, Italians will enter the age of pension at 69 years, including both genders. Estimates from the State General Accounting Office (Ragioneria Generale dello Stato) show that the employment rate for 65–74-year-olds will rise to 16%.

🔟 Napoli fans expelled in Eindhoven ahead of Champions League Match
Some 180 Napoli supporters have been arrested overnight in Eindhoven and expelled from the city. The fans were arrested after entering, and refusing to leave a security zone set up by the city. Their tickets have been cancelled. The Italian Embassy in the Hague have sent staff to Eindhoven to help the city authorities.
