Security databases hacked by a private investigative firm
Zeta Italy News: hackers attacked Italy’s security databases. The Milan-based private investigative firm Equalize s.r.l has been accused of collecting and selling information on politicians, businessmen and well-known figures by accessing Italian important and secret databases, such as that of the Ministry of the Interior. Among the targets is President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa.
This spying is “intolerable in the rule of law,” stated President of the Council Giorgia Meloni. Four individuals have been arrested, and over 50 others are under investigation. Among them is Leonardo del Vecchio, son of the founder of Luxottica, the leading Italian eyewear manufacturing company.
