Strikes for public administration, school and healthcare
Sit-in in more then forty cities in Italy to protest against the Budget Plan aimed to reduce
finances to public school according to CIGL (Italian general Confederation of labour) . The
protesters ask for the renewal of the public contracts and for new hiring measures for the
public administration. Public school system is involved in the strike asking for stable
contracts and more remuneration.
Main Italian Labor Unions protest against the Budget Law
“Inadequate, unfair and dangerous” says Maurizio Landini, president of CIGL, about the
Budget Law 2025 of the Government. A national strike is planned for November 29.
Immediate reaction by the leader on the Nord League Matteo Salvini, who defined the
labour unions “extreme left unionist who strikes against the increase of the salaries for 14
millions of workers”.
The GDP is frozen, Istat says
The Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat) reports economy in the third semester of
the year is stable. The growth of 0,4% is not enough to increase the GDP, but it remains
stable.
Prime Minister Meloni attacks magistrates
Guest on Rai TV program Porta a porta, the prime minister Giorgia Meloni attacks the
magistrature of Bologna’s decision to send the “Secure migrant act” to the European
Justice Court. She defines it “a propagandistic move”. She goes on to attack the labors
unions’ strikes and underlines that she gets threats by human traffickers.
The spies inside the national center of anti cybercrime
The police of Milan discovered a spy that has stolen the data of the center. According to
some wiretaps, there was a mole in the National informatic anticrime center. Meloni
attacks the disloyalty of the officials who betrayed and collaborated to all this cyber attack.
Stopped in Argentina two Italians with their daughter born trough surrogacy
Two Italians and an Argentinian woman were stopped at the Buenos Aires airport. With
them, a baby of 15 days born trough surrogacy. This practice is banned in Argentina and
it’s not clear which will be the sanctions. In Italy the Varchi Law has defined surrogacy as
“universal crime”. Exponents of LGBTQ+ movements are following the case to defend the
family’s rights because the law is yet to enter into force.
Toxic Mushroom kills old woman
It was not a classical “Chiodino” mushroom but a toxic Amanita Falloide that killed an 83-
year-old woman from Follina, in the region of Veneto, after ten days of recovery in the
hospital of Conegliano. Also the son of woman was intoxicated but he survived.
In Norcia the 60th anniversary of San Benedetto Patron of Europe
Sixty years from the proclamation of San Benedetto as “Europe Patron”. For October 31 is
planned in Norcia, in Umbria, an “Academic Act” with the institutional speech of the
European Commissioner Giorgio Gentiloni “L’Europa e Benedetto”. Minister of Economy
Giancarlo Giorgetti will also attend the ceremony.
Funeral of young skiing athlete Matilde Lorenzi
A huge crowd in attendance at the funeral of Matilde Lorenzi, the 19-year-old athlete of the
national skiing team who lost her life due a tragical incident on the Grawand Glacier in
South Tyrol . At the funeral in the church of Giaveno also present the Minister of Sport
Andrea Abodi.
Parma stops Juventus
The Football game between Juventus and Parma is ended 2-2. It was a difficult game for
Juventus, one of the most famous Italian teams. The defense showed weakness, but
thanks to the goals of McKennie and Weah, the team didn’t lose the game.
