Ostia beaches on fire
Seven fires have broken out at beach resorts in Ostia, Italy, five only during the night. The police stopped a young man as suspected but according to the investigation the fires could be arson and connected. No injuries have been reported. Rome’s Mayor Gualtieri is addressing the situation with local authorities.
Arrested Alfieri Former president of Province of Salerno

Teen athlete dies before practice

Project to listen and help victims of discrimination
An Anti-Violence Help Desk at the university Vicenza campus has been establish thanks to the University of Padua and the Municipality of Vicenza. The desk will be operating in May and will provide free support to the academic community facing discrimination, harassment, abuse, and violence particularly against women and gender minorities. It’s a project part of the “Responsibility University” UniRe project, will collaborate with university protection bodies and local services.
Fake luxury items sequestrated
The Finance Police seized over 9,000 counterfeit items from luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci in Trento. Checks in a Trento store revealed fake scarves, hats, and t-shirts. The items came from a Padua wholesaler where the police found out thousands of fake accessories also from Versace, Chanel and Dior ready to be sell on the market.
Remembering Tarantelli victim of terrorism
Forty years ago, was killed the professor Ezio Tarantelli by the Italian terrorist group called Red Brigades. President Mattarella remembered the homicide showing support to the families and condemning the act “ In their aberrant ideological fanaticism, the Red Brigades conceived the deadly ambush against a defenseless person, because of his ideas and the contribution he was making to the choices of the country” said Presidente Mattarella.
