The differentiated autonomy law is not constitutional for Italy

The Supreme Court has authorized a referendum to abolish the “differentiated autonomy” law, after the Constitutional Court ruled parts of it unconstitutional. Opponents claim it increases inequalities and undermines national unity, with the referendum giving citizens the chance to reject the reform.

 The court stops Salvini proposal about the reduction of the Strike

The administrative tribunal court accepted the request of the unionist to suspend the order of the Public transport Minister Matteo Salvini for the strike planned the 13 December. The aim of the minister was to limitate the rights of strike in order to preserve the mobility of the people but for the Unionist the strike is legitimate. 

Meloni on the podium of Forbes’ most powerful women list

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is third, improving one position from 2023, on Forbes’ list of the world’s most powerful women. Forbes emphasizes Meloni’s role in guiding the EU’s third-largest economy through a major transformation. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, remains at the top of the list and Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, holds the second spot.

“Piazza Fontana” the 55th anniversary

President Mattarella held a speech for the anniversary of “Piazza Fontana”, the terrorist attack by neo-fascist in Milan in 1969. “It was an expression of the subversive attempt to destabilize the democracy”. He showed the support of the Republic to the families and he concluded: “The unity in defence of constitutional values that defeated the subverters and allowed the resumption of the path of civil and social growth”.

Italy’s Employment Hits Record High as Unemployment Reaches 17-Year Low

In the third quarter of 2024, Italy’s employment rate rose to 62.4%, while the unemployment rate dropped to 6.1%. The Italian National Institute of Statistics, Istat reports that the employment rate has reached its highest point in the quarterly historical series dating back to 2004, while the unemployment rate is at its lowest since the second quarter of 2007.

Incident on work Modena and law proposal for new  crime

An other fatal incident at work. A man died, he was hit and stroked by a machine in the company closed to the city of Modena. The victim was the owner and partner of the company together with his brother. Due the high numbers of work incidents the vice minister of Justice Francesco Paolo Sisto has declared that a proposal low of “ Homicide on work” will be presented in order to increase prevention.

Abuse on a disabled minor in Milan

Police in Milan stopped a man and a minor for violence because they said they found a video of a sixteen-year-old boy with disabilities abused by them. Police reported that guy was kidnapped and abused by the two who also stole his cell phone, and that the violence happened in the basement of the building in which the two lived.

2025 Putignano Carnival: New Features and Performances

The 631st Putignano Carnival, which is one of the oldest Italian celebrations, in 2025 will introduce new collaborations, a public jury vote, and events on February 16, 22, March 2, and 4. The carnival will feature traditional rituals and local craftsmanship displayed at Bari’s airport.
