Trenitalia conductor stabbed: unions call for strike
On November 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the staff of Trenitalia, FS Security, Italo NTV, and Trenord are on strike following the stabbing of a conductor on Monday, November 4, in Rivarolo, along the Genoa-Busalla route. The 22-year-old aggressor attacked the man after he asked him for the train ticket and made him get off the coach.
The unions have condemned the lack of security and are demanding greater protections. Although the Strike Commission has called for leniency, the protest remains confirmed.
12-year-old girl stabs schoolmate for “telling on her”
The victim, a fellow teen, was stabbed in the chest in the courtyard of a school in Santa Maria delle Mole, near Rome. The altercation started a few days earlier, when the boy reported the classmate for cheating. “He told on me,” confessed the attacker, who later tearfully called the police to turn herself in. The injured boy is not in serious condition and was taken to the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital.

Farewell to master Renato Serio, renowned artist of Italian music and television
He died in Rome at age 78, after a long disease. He was a prominent figure for Italian music and television, having collaborated with famous artists, including Mina or Gianni Morandi. He had also directed the orchestra in the 2005 and 2006 editions of Sanremo Festival. His long career as an orchestra conductor and arranger has brought him to work for Rai and, after that, to a long partnership with Renato Zero, of whom he produced many songs and TV programs.
